Top Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in Latin America: Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the navigation and maps category on Android in Latin America saw significant activity, with Waze Navigation & Live Traffic leading the way in weekly downloads. The app consistently maintained a strong download rate, starting at approximately 319K and peaking at around 396K during mid-April. Active users showed a slight increase, reaching just over 32M by the end of the quarter.

Google Earth experienced a varied trend in downloads, beginning the quarter with about 105K downloads and fluctuating before ending at approximately 84K. Its active user base also showed some variation, peaking at around 1.8M in April before settling at 1.6M by the end of June.

GPS Map Driving Directions saw a remarkable surge in downloads, particularly in early May, where it hit approximately 113K. Active users followed a similar trend, increasing from around 5K to a peak of 95K in May, before stabilizing around 59K.

The Radarbot Speed Camera Detector app showed consistent growth in weekly revenue, starting at $21K and rising to $25K by the end of June. Downloads were fairly stable, with a notable increase in June, reaching about 40K. Active user numbers were robust, maintaining a range between 350K and 416K throughout the quarter.

Finally, Map Drive - Radar, Speedometer exhibited a steady download rate early in the quarter, averaging around 34K before gradually declining. Active users remained relatively constant, hovering around 250K.
